ATP Lighting launches its new Functional Color series, a range of next-generation outdoor luminaires featuring a dynamic RGBW backlit cover, controllable via Bluetooth or DMX

FRANKFURT — 08/03/2026 — ATP Lighting is pleased to announce the official launch of its new next-generation line, the Functional Color series, available starting March 8. The global debut of this innovative product is taking place today at the Light + Building international trade fair in Frankfurt.

Visitors to the fair can discover this new release at the ATP Lighting stand, located in Hall 4.0, Stand B60. To showcase the enormous potential of this exclusive technology, the space features a display including two models from the Metrópoli Color series alongside four models from the new Functional Color series, crowned by a spectacular installation of 288 backlit covers simultaneously controlled via DMX.

This innovative product represents a significant advancement in ornamental and decorative lighting, featuring a dynamic RGBW backlit cover controlled via Bluetooth or DMX. It is capable of reproducing more than 250 million colors and creating versatile lighting effects, transitions, and color changes synchronized with complex patterns.

This line incorporates the 24 models of our Functional series, renowned for its outstanding versatility in installation on arms and columns, allowing post-top, suspended, and even tilted configurations.

4. Optional DMX control, enabling precisely programmed light shows that can be synchronized with events and performances, such as concerts or fireworks displays.

5. Night-sky-friendly backlighting, with an ULOR below 1%, compatible with international dark-sky quality certifications such as Starlight.

In addition, the Functional Color series features all the hallmark characteristics of ATP Lighting products: it is designed with next-generation engineered polymer materials and offers total electrical insulation, complete sealing, immunity to corrosion and power surges, and maximum resistance to vandalism. This ensures unmatched durability, with a 10-year warranty even under extreme conditions of humidity, temperature and salinity.
