Metrópoli Color transforms the lighting of Avenida Carlos III in Pamplona and revitalizes its aesthetics

PAMPLONA —7/3/2025— Avenida Carlos III, one of the main arteries of Pamplona’s historic center, has undergone an unprecedented lighting transformation with the installation of Metrópoli Color, ATP’s cutting-edge LED luminaire featuring a dynamic RGBW backlit cover. With its ability to generate over 250 million colors, full control via Bluetooth, and precise adaptation to events and festivities, this solution has transformed the avenue into an iconic space for dynamic and customizable lighting.

 

 

 

 

A comprehensive renovation with tailored lighting

 

The project involved installing Metrópoli Color throughout most of Avenida Carlos III, complemented by a smaller number of Evolución P luminaires. All low-height luminaires include Comfort Diffuser®, a solution designed to reduce glare, ensure visual comfort, and provide uniform illumination.

 

A warm 3000 K color temperature was chosen, balancing a moderate proportion of blue light in its spectral radiance with a high color rendering index (CRI). The installation achieves exceptional uniformity, exceeding regulatory standards and offering superior visibility and clarity compared to the previous lighting system.

 

Additionally, the customized lighting design has optimized power usage and energy consumption, achieving over 70% energy savings compared to the previous discharge technology.

Metrópoli Color not only transforms its surroundings with its dynamic RGBW backlighting, but it also meets the highest sustainability standards. Its sky-friendly backlighting maintains an FHS between 0 and 0.5, ensuring compliance with the Starlight international certification. Thanks to Bluetooth control integration, the luminaires can be easily programmed with flexibility and versatility, adapting the lighting to city events, festivities, and performances. Renovation of Avenida Roncesvalles

 

The lighting upgrade also extended to Avenida Roncesvalles, where Evolución LC luminaires with Comfort Diffuser® were installed at low heights to ensure user comfort and provide uniform, eye-friendly illumination. In higher fixtures, Evolución P luminaires with transparent diffusers were installed, optimizing road visibility while maintaining a pleasant experience for pedestrians.
