New lighting in Bellvitge: ATP presents its second intervention in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (Cataluña, Spain)

L'HOSPITALET DE LLOBREGAT —16/2/2024— ATP Lighting presents its recent lighting project in the neighborhood of Bellvitge, located in the town of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, in Catalonia. This initiative marks ATP's second collaboration in this neighborhood, thus demonstrating the continuous trust and satisfaction of local residents and authorities in the company's lighting products and solutions.

Efficient lighting and high uniformity

The project consisted of installing 45 sets composed of 4-meter-high Olimpo Columns along with Aire® Series 3 luminaires in 3000 K, equipped with Comfort Diffuser® to mitigate glare. This careful choice of equipment ensures not only efficient lighting but also a modern and functional aesthetic that integrates perfectly into the urban environment of Bellvitge.

The priority in this project was to provide uniform lighting throughout the neighborhood, especially in green areas and along the rambla of Calle del Prat. With uniformity values ​​exceeding 0.5 in green areas and over 0.6 along the rambla, residents and visitors can enjoy a safe and well-lit environment throughout the area.

Energy efficiency was also a key aspect of the project, with installations ranging from 21 W to 30 W, ensuring optimal energy consumption without compromising lighting quality. Additionally, the durability and resistance of ATP products are particularly relevant in an urban environment like Bellvitge, characterized by high population density and intense use of public spaces.

Addressing corrosion and vandalism issues

Previously, luminaires installed in the neighborhood suffered from high levels of wear and tear due to vandalism, animal urine, and other environmental factors. This resulted in the need for constant and costly maintenance, as well as noticeable aesthetic damage to the light points. However, with the implementation of ATP's complete sets, made with corrosion-resistant engineering technical polymers, this problem has been effectively solved.

ATP luminaires not only offer efficient lighting but are also designed to withstand adverse conditions without requiring constant maintenance. Thanks to their IK10+ vandalism resistance and immunity to corrosion caused by urine or other agents, ATP sets guarantee a longer lifespan and optimal operation over time, all without aesthetic alterations. This not only reduces long-term maintenance costs but also improves the quality and safety of the urban environment for Bellvitge residents and visitors.
