Cónica and Venus LED families by ATP Lighting obtain the N, ENEC and CB certificates, issued by AENOR

PAMPLONA —23/12/2017— The Cónica and Venus ATP Lighting's LED families have recently obtained the N, ENEC and CB certificates after the evaluation of AENOR, and thus complete the way started by the Siglo, Plaza, Malaki, Villa, Villa Royal and Enur series. This new addition means that the entire LED catalog of the firm has now the maximum international quality and safety guarantees.

As it happened with the ATP luminaires certified before, the Cónica and Venus passed the tests required by the Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification –carried out in the Official Central Laboratory of Electrotechnics (LCOE)–, which prove their IP66, IK10 and Class II degrees. The three certificates, as a whole, have a global scope: the N is for Spain; the ENEC, for Europe, and the CB is recognized in more than 50 countries in the rest of the world.

ATP has also announced that the Aire® luminaire, the company's next launch on high-performance LED street lighting, is already undergoing the tests to get the same three certificates.

IP66+, IK10+ and Class II+: sealing, toughness and electrical safety beyond the standards

Like the rest of the luminaires manufactured by the firm, the Cónica and Venus series go beyond the standards and widely surpass the requirements established to obtain the three certificates. That is the reason for ATP to add the "+" to the IP, IK and Class II nomenclature:

IP66+: The IP66 sealing of the Cónica and the Venus covers the whole envelope of the luminaire, instead of being limited to the optical block –as happens with other manufacturers–. The equipment and other electrical and electronic components of the street light are thus completely protected from penetration of liquids and solid particles.

IK10+: Both series stand impact tests greater than 50 joules, which is more than twice the maximum set by the IK standard (IK10, 20 joules).

Class II+: The Cónica and the Venus have a dielectric strength –voltage necessary for an insulating body to start conducting electricity– of 175 000 volts, that is, 60 times what is required by the standard to achieve Class II.

These characteristics make these luminaires extraordinarily safe and durable, and ensure an ideal performance even in the harshest environments. That is why these street lights have a real warranty of 10 years, the longest in the sector.

The latest innovations in LED street lighting: Laminar Heatsink® and Comfort Diffuser® in the Cónica and the Venus

The two families include the Laminar Heatsink®, an exclusive thermal management system designed and patented by ATP to solve the overheating of the LED modules and increase their lifespan. This device reduces the working temperature of the LED by 2 % and lengthens its life by more than 21 000 hours.

Optionally, both the Cónica and the Venus LED can be supplied with Comfort Diffuser®, a technical polymer screen specially designed to mitigate the dazzle of pedestrians without sacrificing the extraordinary efficiency and performance of diode technology.
