ATP launches its LED outdoor lighting Aire® floodlight: versatile and adaptable, suitable for any application

PAMPLONA —16/12/2019— The Navarrese company ATP Lighting has recently expanded its LED offer with the launch of its new high-performance floodlight Aire®, based on the engineering and design of the multi-award-winning homonymous luminaire. Aire® floodlight, designed to get the most out of the Laminar Heatsink®, comes in three versions with different power: 3 Series (25/35/55 W), 5 Series (75/100 W) and 7 Series (125/150/200 W).

This variety, together with its modular and fully customizable optics, the possibility of integrating the most advanced remote management systems, the incorporation of an adjustable handle and the option of including Comfort Diffuser®, make it one of the most versatile and adaptable floodlights on the market, suitable for any application: from architectural, ornamental, sports or industrial lighting to hotels and large commercial areas. ATP polymeric materials

Aire® floodlight, like all ATP luminaires, is made of the latest generation technical engineering polymers S7 and T5. These exclusive materials give the floodlights unique characteristics to face the most common problems of outdoor lighting, such as electrocution, degradation by atmospheric agents, oxidation and vandalism.

Fully hermetic 

A rigorous sealing process for the diffuser and a continuous gasket in the drivers' compartment ensure the full tightness of the floodlight even in the most extreme climates. These measures guarantee the absolute protection of each electronic component and internal element of the luminaire, and not only the optical block, against liquids and solid particles.

Laminar® Heatsink

This thermal management system, designed by the company and internationally patented, solves the overheating of LED modules and considerably extends their lifespan. In the Aire® floodlight, this heatsink is outside the chassis, which enhances its effectiveness.

It is a smooth, extra-thin device, manufactured with a special alloy for naval uses, which reduces the working temperature of LED modules by 21 % and prolongs their lifespan by more than 21,000 hours. Knowing that the average annual operating time of outdoor lighting in Spain is 4100 hours, this means that the LED useful life for this purpose can reach almost 25 years thanks to the Laminar Heatsink®.

Comfort Diffuser®

The 3 Series is available with the exclusive Comfort Diffuser®, specially designed to mitigate LED glare without reducing its exceptional light output. This innovation provides a level of visual comfort to road users never before reached by a floodlight using diode technology.

Adjustable handle

The floodlight integrates an adjustable joint with a handle that allows tilting it in intervals of 2.5 degrees so we can direct the light exactly to the desired place. Said joint includes a tooth system designed to prevent misadjustments over time due to mechanical vibrations. Likewise, the handle can be rotated horizontally once anchored to offer even more freedom.

Customizable optics

The lenses consist of independent modules with different optical designs that can be combined in multiple ways to obtain the light distribution that best suits the project. This feature makes the Aire® series easily customized and adaptable to any scenario.

Optimized design with gear tray

The design of Aire® floodlights is studied in detail so that their installation and operation are completely intuitive. All its elements have been structured and distributed to facilitate interaction so that when performing any maintenance work it is only necessary to loosen a screw. The chassis is similar to that of the Aire® luminaire, awarded with three prestigious international design prizes (German Design Award 2018, Design Plus 2018 and German Design Award 2019).

All the internal components of the projector are assembled in the gear tray, a core that works as one piece. This tray automatically connects to the power supply when inserted into the chassis, which suppresses any electrical hazard.

IP68 plug & play tubular connector

The IP68 plug & play tubular connector is water and dust-tight and allows quick and safe installation of LED street lighting. This device allows making the connection outside the floodlight and avoids having to disassemble it, which prevents any possibility of electrocution and leaks that may arise due to handling.
