Two new audiovisual pieces document the technical and environmental impact of the new lighting system in the historic city center
LOGROÑO —13/6/2025— Just weeks after hosting the 51st National Lighting Symposium, the city of Logroño continues to attract technical interest for its exemplary approach to energy efficiency, night sky protection, and integration with its architectural heritage.
As part of the project documentation, ATP Lighting now presents two new videos that visually capture the real impact of the intervention. One offers a before-and-after comparison of the lighting transformation; the other presents a current walk-through showcasing the achieved nighttime atmosphere, high uniformity, and overall aesthetic coherence across the city’s historic core.

A visual journey highlighting the significant transformation in light quality, color temperature, and urban ambiance.
Current footage of the new lighting
A tour through the heart of Logroño under the new 2200 K LED lighting system, revealing its architectural harmony, warm atmosphere, and uniform light distribution.
A model gaining visibility
During the symposium, numerous professionals toured the renovated areas, where 872 luminaires were installed—most of them Siglo XLA models equipped with ultra-warm 2200 K LEDs. Thanks to precise lighting design and fine-tuned wattages and photometric distributions, the installation achieved a uniformity ratio of up to 0.8 with very low power levels (ranging from 19 to 35 watts), delivering clear visibility without excessive brightness or light pollution.
Guillermo Redrado, vice president of ATP Lighting, highlights the project’s technical value:
“We’ve demonstrated that with rigorous planning and custom manufacturing, it’s possible to achieve effective, efficient public lighting that integrates seamlessly into the urban landscape. Logroño stands as a model example of this approach.”
Visibility, visual comfort and sustainability
With over 70% energy savings compared to previous technologies and only 1.28% of radiant flux emitted below 440 nm, the system ensures healthy lighting that respects the natural rhythms of people and local species. The high uniformity achieved—even at low lighting levels—contributes to notable visual comfort and a more pleasant nighttime experience for residents and visitors.
The release of these videos reflects ATP Lighting’s ongoing commitment to sharing best practices in outdoor lighting. Logroño now joins the growing number of cities implementing technically responsible solutions, with measurable results in efficiency, integration and environmental care.
